In all sets, d = .10, and w = .50; in panel (A), b = .03 (both curves), q = 0 (closed circles), and q = .10 (open circles); in panel (B), b = .30 and q = .10. Panel (C) shows the mean estimated distribution of food-reinforced lever-press bouts, obtained from rats pressing 111-mm high levers in Jiménez et al. (2017). The lines in panels (B) and (C) are fits of geometric distribution functions.
