The combined clinical target volume (CTV)–planning target volume margin as a function of d for various rotational uncertainties to achieve the same coverage probability, that is, 95% of the time the prescription dose would cover the CTV point. The range of d is from 0 mm to 150 mm with 10 mm increment, in which the parameter sets are $χ_{α}$ = 2.795, M _S = 2 mm for (a) and M _S = 5 mm for (b).
