miR-1294 and its core motifs induce expression of IL-8 and TNFα but not IL-1β protein. HEK-Blue™hTLR8 cells (Invivogen, San Diego, CA), were incubated with miR-1294 mimic and its two core motifs (Motif A-AUUGUUG and Motif B- AUUGUUA) for 24 h. Supernatants were collected and assayed for levels of IL-8, TNFα, and IL-1 β. ssRNA40, a TLR8 agonist was used as a control. Data was analyzed by one-way ANOVA and Dunnet's post-hoc test.
