[a] In a typical experiment, a solution of 1 b (1 mmol), nBu₃SnH (1.3 mmol), and an initiator (0.2 mmol) in the solvent (20 mL) was refluxed for 30 min, after which the solvent was recovered by distillation under reduced pressure and analyzed by GC and GC‐MS to determine the purity. For reactions in 4‐MeTHP, AIBN was used as an initiator, while V‐65 was used for reactions in THP and 2‐MeTHF.
