1. ICAD with 70% to 99% stenosis of a major intracranial artery diagnosed by angiogram, TCD, MRA, or CTA. 2. Patient is willing and able to return for all follow-up visits required by the protocol. 3. Patient understands the purpose and requirements of the study, can make him- or herself understood, and has provided consent. |
1. Intracranial arterial stenosis related to arterial dissection, moyamoya disease, or any known infectious or vasculitic disease. 2. Presence of any unequivocal cardiac sources of embolism. 3. Any hemorrhagic infarct within 14 days before enrollment or any other intracranial hemorrhage (subarachnoid, subdural, or epidural) within 30 days. 4. Endovascular angioplasty and (or) stenting or major surgery (including open femoral, aortic, or carotid surgery) within previous 30 days or planned in the next 180 days after enrollment. 5. Intracranial tumor or vascular malformation. 6. Severe neurologic deficit that renders the patient not independent. |
