Typical conditions: thioalkyl tetrazine b-Tz or 3 (1.0 equiv.), RB(OH)2 (1.9 equiv.), PdCl2(dppf) (15 mol%), Ag2O (2.5 equiv.), DMF (0.1M), 60°C, 19–21h, average isolated yields of duplicate synthesis (± 5%). a 3.0 equiv. of RB(OH)2. b 3.0 equiv. of RB(OH)2 did not significantly improve yield (< 5%), 1.9 equiv. of RB(OH)2 was used.
