Figure 7

A schematic representation of the role of miR-34a-5p in the function of ADSCs in the mouse MI model. miR-34a-5p targets and negatively regulates the expression of CTRP9. Up-regulated CTRP9 could enhance the proliferation and migration of ADSCs by increasing the expression of ERK1, MMP-9, NRF2, MnSOD and HO-1. Therefore, down-regulation of miR-34a-5p plays a promoting role in the protective effect of ADSCs against MI damage by up-regulating CTRP9. miR-34a-5p, microRNA-34a-5p; ADSCs, adipose-derived stem cells; MI, myocardial infarction; CTRP9, C1q/tumor necrosis factor-related protein-9; MMP-9, matrix metalloproteinase-9; NRF2, nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2; HO-1, heme oxygenase-1.
