Our own designed NIR-PIT illuminator was constructed by 8 light-emitting diodes (LED: SMBB690D-1100-02 × 8, EPITEX, Inc., Kyoto, Japan), whose peak wavelength of emission is 690 nm. The power density of the LEDs is controllable from 0 to 600 mA (0–244.86 mW/cm2).
