Rb1 and Rg1 regulated the level of oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) in oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation (OGD/R)-treated astrocytes. Astrocytes were incubated with Rb1 (5 µM) or Rg1 (10 µM). (ae) After 6 h of OGD, astrocytes were reoxygenated for 4 or 24 h, and cells were collected to detect the activities of complexes I-V. (f) After 6 h of OGD, astrocytes were reoxygenated for 0, 4, 12, or 24 h, and cells were collected to measure the level of ATP. The results revealed that Rb1 (5 µM) and Rg1 (10 µM) administration increased the activities of complexes I, II, III, and V and ATP levels, but there was no significant difference in complex IV activity among the experimental groups. The values are expressed as the mean ± SD (n = 3). ## p < 0.01 and # p < 0.05 versus control cells; ** p < 0.01 and * p < 0.05 versus OGD/R-treated cells.
