The error bars indicate the standard errors associated with linear regressions. F-tests were performed to objectively assess the pathological effects of the pendrin variants (see the main text for detail). Note that p.Gly334Val (c.1001G>T) was found to disrupt mRNA splicing (Fig. 6).
