Mangiferin enhances the expression of PPARγ and LXRα in RAW264.7 macrophages and in the aortas of apoE-/- mice. (A–F) After RAW264.7 cells were fully differentiated, the cells were exposed to different concentrations of mangiferin (0, 5, 10, and 20 μM) for 24 h. Then, RT-qPCR and western blot analyses were performed to detect the mRNA (A, D) and protein (B, C, E, F) levels, respectively, of PPARγ and LXRα. *P < 0.05 vs. 0 μM group. (G, H) Protein levels of PPARγ and LXRα in the homogenate of the aortic arch were assessed by western blotting. *P < 0.05 vs. control group.
