The expression levels of the Bcl-2, BAX, and caspase-3 proteins were detected using Western blotting at 3 days after SCI (A,E). Quantification of the Bcl-2 (B), BAX (C), the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax (D) and the ratio of cleaved-caspase 3 (p17, p19)/pro-caspase 3 (F) verified the antiapoptotic effect of 2-BFI. Band density was quantified using ImageJ software. n = 6 animals per group.
