Table 1.
Feeding time | Ezetimibe | Apparent VLDL secretion ability [g liver/dL/h] | n |
---|---|---|---|
0 w | – | 40.5 ± 6.1a | 4 |
1 w | – | 28.8 ± 4.4b | 7 |
2 w | – | 6.5 ± 0.8c | 7 |
2 w | + | 39.1 ± 6.1a | 4 |
Values are expressed as the mean ± SEM. Statistical analyses of significant differences among all the groups were performed using Bartlett’s test, followed by a non-parametric Steel–Dwass test for multiple comparisons. Different letters indicate significant differences between groups (P < 0.05); there were no significant differences between the groups indicated by same letters. Time-dependent decrease of apparent VLDL-TG-secretion ability was prevented by ezetimibe administration. VLDL-TG, very low-density lipoprotein-triglyceride; w, weeks.
