The chronic conditions on the top of table represented the status of children. The chronic conditions on the left of the table represented the status of their parents. The analyses of IHD and CVD were not conducted because of low prevalence rate in this subset. The generalised estimating equations model was adjusted for age, gender, health insurance status, education status, drinking and smoking.

CVD, cerebrovascular disease; IHD, ischaemic heart disease.
