Conceptual framework. This conceptual framework depicts several pathways through which social protection interventions may affect TB outcomes. ‘TB outcomes’ here includes TB exposure, infection, disease, and adverse outcomes. In this paper we focus on the pathway linking psychosocial factors with biomarkers of immunity (orange boxes in the figure) and apply the findings to the context of TB.
