Examples of crystals of zCD2-inhibitor complexes. (A) Long thin rods are most common. These have yielded crystal structures. (B) Stacked plate-like clusters and smaller crystals are observed less often, but have nonetheless yielded crystal structures. (C) Prisms and hexagons are also observed in crystallization trials, but to date these have always been salt crystals.
