The results presented as mean ± SEM were evaluated by one-way ANOVA followed by LSD post-hoc test (statistically significant if p < 0.05). Values which have the same superscript letter(s) within each row are not significantly different. When no letters are present in the superscript, the ANOVA test was not significant. C: control rats; DM2: HFD + STZ-induced diabetic rats; RA10 and RA50: HFD + STZ-induced diabetic rats treated with rosmarinic acid at a dose of 10 mg/kg and 50 mg/kg, respectively; SA5 and SA25: HFD + STZ-induced diabetic rats treated with sinapic acid at a dose of 5 mg/kg and 25 mg/kg, respectively, for 28 days.
