Hypotensive effects of oral administration of P. quadrangularis in normotensive rats. The animals were treated with 10, 20, and 40, mg/kg bw Pq for 10 days. Oral administration of extract decreased significantly (** p < 0.01) the mean arterial pressure (A), and the heart rate (B) as compared with control animals.
