Schistosomal miRNA was extracted from either EVs that were isolated from schistosomal‐growing medium or control pellets that were isolated from unused schistosomal medium as described in Materials and Methods (schistosomal‐EV purification section). Equal aliquots were subjected to qRT–PCR with specific primers to the schistosomal miR‐10, Bantam, and miR‐125; the expression is presented as ΔCt from background Ct that was set as 40 cycles. The mean ± SEM was calculated from 3 independent experiments. P‐value was calculated by t‐test. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01.
