Note. The sum for participant race is greater than the sample due to participants being able to select Hispanic as ethnicity as well as a race. The sum for marital status and education are additionally greater than the sample size due to the opportunity to select more than one option. The sample of no surgery parents (n = 11) is underpowered for statistical analysis. The above demographics are a description of the surgery and no surgery parents.
