Dichotomization of TMPRSS4 expression was based on quartiles (considering the top 25%, Q4 as high). The prognostic value of TMPRSS4 for both RFS and OS in this early stage is independent of other variables. Only variables whose p-value was ≤0.1 in the univariable analysis were considered.
