The graders’ grades for predicting ci-DME on the secondary clinical validation set are shown as a red dots. All methods (i.e., the model and eyepacs graders) rendered their grades using monoscopic fundus images only. The ground truth for ci-DME was derived using OCT (central subfield thickness ≥ 300 μm).
