Whole genome comparisons of selected contigs from each phage cluster show that horizontal transfer has occurred in the neighbourhood of crAss-BACON ORFs between the otherwise unsimilar clusters 1, 7 and B. crAss-BACON tandem repeated proteins in these clusters are located in the tail section of the genome. In all clusters except from B, head proteins are those proteins that were identified in the phylogenetic analysis in Figure 2c.
