The effect of oleocanthal (OC) and oleacein (OA) treatment on cell viability. Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome (SGBS) adipocytes were treated with OC (A) or OA (B) for 6 h at the concentrations indicated, and then either treated with 10 ng/mL TNFα (black filled bars), or left untreated (open white bars), for 18 h. Cell viability was assessed by the 3(4,5dimethylthiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, and expressed as percent of unstimulated control (CTL).
