Time of addition experiments. Vero cells (3 × 105 cells) plated in 6-well plates were infected with MeV, treated with AuNPs-As at different times of infection and analyzed by PFU inhibition assays. AuNPs-As was added at 1 h pre-infection and 0, 15, 30 min, 1, 2, 4 and 6 h post-infection. The data are expressed as relative PFU (%) compared to that of untreated virus-infected control cells (Viral control), which was defined as 100%.
