(a) HHFK and HHDPC co-cultures were cultured in presence or not (Ctrl) of AMS supplement (0.5 and 1 mg/mL) for 48 and 72 h. Then, cells were collected and lysed to obtain the protein fraction subjected to immunodetection analysis by using 1:1000 polyclonal anti-Type I + II human Hair Keratins polyclonal antibody. The shown membrane is representative of three independent experiments. (b) Total hair keratin content within each lane was quantified and plotted in a line graph as percentage of total keratins compared to untreated co-cultures. The anti-GAPDH antibody was used to standardize the amounts of proteins in each lane.
