(A) Brains from animals treated with formulation buffer 10 Gy and BBT-059 were collected at 6 and 12 months post-TBI. The figure shows the representative images of western blots from the brain at 6 and 12 months of naive, 10 Gy irradiated pre-treated with formulation buffer (FB 10 Gy), 10.5, 11.5, and 12 Gy irradiated and pre-treated with BBT-059. (B) The bar graph shows the quantification of the ratio of protein of interest and its respective β-Actin control from three independent animals. After 6 months, no significant difference was observed in different groups, however, after 12 months the expression of Sqstm1 protein was significantly less in 11.5 Gy BBT-059 group as compared to naïve (p = 0.048).
