RE‐engineered self‐contained modules.(a) Each module contains two housings each with 3 triplex chips, two media cassettes, piston‐driven pumps and environmental control (temperature, humidity, CO₂). All four modules pictured here were deployed to the International Space Station United States National Laboratory. Four identical modules, not shown, were utilized for the time‐synchronous ground control experiment.
