The secondary chemical shifts of the ASPD, Aβ42 fibril, and Aβ40 fibril species (Δ¹³C_α shown in red and Δ¹³C_β in black) are plotted on the vertical axis against those of SPA on the horizontal axis, along with the y = x (blue solid line) and y = x ± 1 (cyan dashed lines) curves. Marked differences between SPA and ASPD were found in both ΔC_α and ΔC_β shifts of Phe²⁰ and Val²⁴ (green arrows), indicating different conformations of the two species.
