Fes1 methionine-containing peptides identified by mass spectrometry

Fes1 protein was immunoisolated from yeast cells grown in the absence or presence of peroxide, and Fes1 peptides were analyzed by mass spectrometry. Matched peptides containing five of the Fes1 methionines were recovered from both the untreated and treated samples. Methionines were identified in the reduced state (red), oxidized to methionine sulfoxide (diox), and oxidized to methionine sulfone (diox). ND, peptide not detected.
