Cytotoxicity assay (CC₅₀) of increasing concentrations of Urtica dioica L. aqueous extract on mouse J774A.1 macrophage cell line after 48 hours using MTT method in-vitro; (A) U. dioica extract has been toxic only for J774A.1 macrophages at high extract concentrations (CC₅₀: 20,000 μg/ml). (B) amphotericin B (CC₅₀: 1.9 μg/ml) and (C) PBS were applied as positive and negative controls, respectively. Accordingly, all data have been reported as the mean ± SD of triple repeated experiments. CC50 μg/ml values were calculated from the dose response curve using Prism 5 software.
