S100A10 has four α-helixes named H-Ι, H-II, H-III and H-IV. The EF-1 domain is composed of H-Ι, H-Ⅱ and L1, and the EF-2 domain is composed of H-III, H-IV and L2. The EF-1 and EF-2 are linked by a hinge region. Three deletions in L1 of S100A10 can render EF-1 domain incapable of binding Ca2+.
