The quantification of fluorescence using ImageJ analysis software and subsequent statistical analysis gave rise to significant results for syndecan 1 (p < 0.01), syndecan 2, syndecan 3, glypican 1, perlecan and agrin (p < 0.001 in all cases), but not for betaglycan (p = 0.1).
