Figure 4

Correlation of brain activity with the efficiency of multi-component behaviour. Higher ZENK expression was associated with a steeper slope of the SCD-RT2 function (parallel processing) in (A) NCLl: r = −0.86, p = 0.028, (B) NCLm: r = −0.89, p = 0.016 and (C) MSt: r = − 0.82, p = 0.047. There was no significant correlation between ZENK expression and the processing strategy in (D) LSt: r = −0.56, p = 0.250. Abbreviations: LSt: lateral striatum; MSt: medial striatum; NCLl: nidopallium caudolaterale pars lateralis; NCLm: nidopallium caudolaterale pars medialis.
