The protein and mRNA expression levels of α-SMA and Smad7 displayed no significant difference between the three groups. The protein and mRNA expression levels of CTGF, TGF-β1, and Smad3 in the palmitate (PA) group were higher than in the control group, and octreotide treatment significantly decreased their expression levels.
