Stratifying microglia using C5AR1 expression identifies both restricted and generalised responses. (A) A histogram shows microglial C5AR1 expression in a fluorescence-minus-one (FMO) control (blue), naïve retina (purple), and at 18 h EIU (orange). (B) Immune cell infiltrate correlates with C5AR1^hi expression in microglial populations (p = 0.0298).
