BAX is downregulated in cisplatin resistant prostate cancer cells. A. PC3 cells were treated with cisplatin at 0, 2.5, 5 or 10 μM for 72 hours. The expression of BAX was analyzed by Western blots. β-actin was used as a loading control. B. The expression of BAX was analyzed by Western blot in parental PC3 and cisplatin resistant cells. C. PC3 cells were transfected with control or siRNA targeting BAX, and after 48 hours BAX expression was measured by Western blots. D. PC3 cells were transfected with control siRNA targeting BAX, after 48 hours, cells were treated with cisplatin at 0, 5, 10, 20 or 40 μM for 72 hours.
