Clustered correlation matrix analysis between antibacterial gene expression and bacteria. Bacteria that were demonstrated to differentiate between IBS and healthy were included in clustered correlation matrix analysis between antibacterial gene expression and bacteria. Correlation between (a) antibacterial gene expression and the mucosa-associated bacteria of IBS patients, (b) antibacterial gene expression and the mucosa-associated bacteria of healthy subjects (c) antibacterial gene expression and fecal bacteria of IBS patients, (d) antibacterial gene expression and the fecal bacteria of healthy subjects, are shown. Positive correlations are displayed in blue and negative correlations in red. Color intensity and the size of the circle are proportional to the correlation coefficients, only significant correlations are shown (p < 0.01).
