Figure 5.

Figure 5

Effect of columbianadin (CBN) or osthole (OST) on the I–V current of Ica in the presence of an L-type Ica blocker nimodipine in small dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons. (A) Representative whole-cell Ica in the presence of 2 μM nimodipine (NM) recorded from a small DRG neuron in the absence of any compound. (B) Representative Ica in the presence of 2 μM nimodipine and 100 μM CBN. (C) Representative Ica in the presence of 2 μM nimodipine and 100 μM OST. Recordings are all from independent cells and each cell is only used for a single treatment. Nimodipine, CBN, and OST were pre-treated in the same way described in Figure 4. And the same pretreatment method was used for other calcium channel blockers in the following figures. (D) Current-voltage relationships of the Ica in nimodipine (black line), during exposure 100 μM OST (blue line) and 100 μM CBN (red line). Data points are mean ± SEM. Data are analyzed by two-way repeated ANOVA.
