Effect of the occurrence of White Striping (WS), Wooden Breast (WB), and Spaghetti Meat (SM) abnormalities on the content of VIM (A) and DES (B) proteins in the Pectoralis major muscles of the fast-growing genotype assessed through Western Blot analyses. The results were analyzed by One-way ANOVA and expressed as%, considering as 100% the intensity of the band assigned to VIM and DES in normal (NORM) muscles. Error bars indicate standard deviations. a–c = Mean values followed by different superscript letters significantly differ among the fast-growing groups (P ≤ 0.05).
