Effect of lactoferrin receptor upregulation on (a) amount of Lf and Tf in the brain and (b) amount of iron in the brain. All the kinetic rates are same as listed in Table 5. Initial conditions for each case are provided in Table 6. Tf-mediated iron transport is quantified by using the model developed in [30] with a concentration of 1.4 [μg / ml] in the luminal side as reported by Descamps et al. [71].
