Printing of an EGT. The P3HT semiconductor and ion gel are aerosol-jet printed sequentially onto a silicon wafer. The aerosol-jet printing, illustrated schematically in the upper panel, uses a carrier flow containing the relevant ink (P3HT or ion gel) and a sheath flow that focuses the carrier jet onto the surface. The electrodes and contact pads are created prior to printing using the conventional photolithography.
