Note: the same region may be sampled by more than one electrode and one electrode may sample multiple brain region, e.g. an orbitofrontal electrode implanted using an orthogonal trajectory may enter through the pars orbitalis of the inferior frontal gyrus, sample the lateral orbitofrontal gyrus, mesial orbitofrontal gyrus and terminate in the mesial prefrontal region. Occasionally, the anterior insula may also be sampled using this trajectory
