Keratin 18 (Krt19), Krt18, and desmin colocalize in flexor digitorum brevis (FDB) myofibers. FDB muscles were transfected by electroporation with plasmids encoding Myc-Krt18 and FLAG-Krt19 and were immunolabeled 1 wk later for Myc, FLAG, and desmin (see materials and methods).
