Markers were selected based on exhaustion-specific expression patterns using transcriptomic and epigenomic profiling and validated using mass cytometry. Markers associated with T cell exhaustion, their predicted expression on TEX compared to other cell populations, their functional role as well as their utility for a minimal exhaustion panel is noted. Moreover, cytokines required for the assessment of TEX function are included.
