Contamination of laboratory material with glucans. Bacteremia due to Streptococcus spp. or some Gram-negative bacilli such as Pseudomonas spp. Contact with surgical sponges and gauzes. Hemodialysis patients with cellulose containing filters. IV treatment with immunoglobulins, albumin or coagulation factors. Antibacterial IV treatment with antibiotics such as amoxicillin-clavulanic or piperacillin-tazobactam. Antineoplastic treatments with Lentinane or Polysaccharide k.
