A, Mitochondrial oxidative stress and respiration were measured in renal proximal tubules after 6 wks of treatment. Oxidant stress was measured by fluorescence using 2,7‐dicholorodihydrofluorescein diacetate in equal amounts of proximal tubular protein. B, Respiration was measured in tubular homogenates.
