In human peripheral nerve (tibial nerve), 4 hours of ischemia is followed by complete recovery of microvascular flow (blue) and nerve conduction (orange). After 6 hours of ischemia, there is a complete recovery of microvascular flow and almost complete recovery of nerve conduction.
