MEC suppressed the expression, nucleocytoplasmic translocation and release of HMGB1 in CSE‐treated lung macrophages. (A‐D) MH‐S cells were pre‐treated with MEC (50 μmol/L) for 90 min before 0.5% CSE incubation for 24 h. HMGB1 was detected in whole protein, extracellular protein, cytoplasmic protein or nuclear protein with Western bolt. E, MH‐S cells were pre‐treated with MEC (50 μmol/L) for 90 min before 0.5% CSE incubation for 6 h. Localization of HMGB1 in MH‐S cells was assessed by immunofluorescence.
