Modulated genes were analyzed by IPA, and the top ten physiological functions and the relative genes given by IPA core analysis (S1 Fig) were clustered into groups related to fundamental tissue changes in FD, taking into account hBMSC autocrine and paracrine properties (see also Fig 7).
